About Our
Owner
Fresh out of the United States Navy, Richard F. Emig started
working with oil coolers in 1955. The company he worked for was
Aero Technical Services, and he moved up quickly, becoming shop
foreman almost immediately. In 1960, he obtained his inspector's
license from the Federal Aviation Administration. By this time, Mr.
Emig was responsible for the day-to-day operation of the repair
station. When the owner of Aero Technical Services, Frank Milbee,
retired in 1969, Mr. Emig purchased the tools and inventory of the
business. It then became known as R & E Oil Cooler
Service. Started in Paramount, California, Mr. Emig moved
his operations to Arizona in 1984, where they are located today.
Mr. Emig utilizes his 48 years of experience by running a full
service repair station for most oil coolers, heat exchangers, and
thermostats being used today. These include fixed wing and rotor
aircraft, powered by piston or turbine engines. For all of these
years, he has been qualified to perform overhauls to serviceable
status, including decontamination.
